The Shep Jacket
Handcrafted in Cleethorpes by the sea. Every fabric, button and trim on this jacket is sourced from deadstock suppliers here in the UK. The Shep Jacket started with an idea to blend a Mandarin blazer with an English workwear jacket. Harry Shepperd, or Shep as we call him, is my best friend and being by the seaside we wanted a cropped boxy mandarin style hybrid inspired by a workwear shirt he wore. From mood boards and samples the jacket was born.
Fabric and Garment Details
Materials are limited so each jacket may vary slightly. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
The pinstripe is made from a lush blend of 40% linen 40% cotton and 20% polyester. The black and white versions are 100% cotton weighing approximately 180 grams per square metre. All versions feature assorted deadstock buttons and fabrics. Please be aware subtle changes to the garment may occur due to the nature of our fabric and button sourcing. We hand pick and select each element to capture the essence of the jacket and stay true to the Cold On A Sunday style. Variations in buttons and fabrics are part of the character of each piece.
The jacket is a half lined piece with all linen lining and major internal seams wrapped in bias binding. It features a clean three button closure with hand picked artisan buttons. Rounded details and collar create a slightly daintier incisive menswear piece. The boxy cropped fit includes two pleats at the back to stop the jacket from kicking out. Small front welt pockets and two deep internal chest pockets provide storage. Double panelled sleeves improve fit and movement. A subtle pop of colour appears in a one centimetre bartack on the fishtail side seam openings and the coloured Cold On A Sunday AG box on the back neck collar stand.
Material Care
Machine or hand wash on low heat at thirty degrees Celsius maximum. Always turn the jacket inside out before washing. Do not tumble dry. Air dry naturally to avoid shrinkage and protect the linen fibres. Iron inside out on medium heat or steam while damp. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
Please note none of the fabrics are pre shrunk. Expect up to three to five percent shrinkage on first wash especially in length. To minimise shrinkage wash cold reshape while damp and air dry flat or on a hanger. Natural softening and minor dimensional changes are part of the garment’s character and will settle with wear.
Important Notice on Sourcing
All garments are made from UK sourced headstock fabrics trims and deadstock buttons. Because these materials are limited each jacket will have subtle variations in button styles colour tones and fabric texture. We hand pick every component to maintain the design and quality but cannot guarantee exact replication of samples or photos. By purchasing this jacket you agree to accept these variations as an intentional part of its unique limited edition nature.
